Individual therapy

A client who wishes to access the individual therapy service at Focus12 would first have to ring up for an assessment so that we can determine if individual therapy is the appropriate response. At that time we will also gain knowledge of what the client’s issues are so that we can try and match them to the therapist who will best assist them. Having been assessed and once a therapist has been assigned, clients will be usually expected to attend on a weekly basis. Under normal circumstances there is a review after six sessions to see if progress is being made to the client’s satisfaction, or if an alternative intervention needs to be found.

Clients can either self-fund these sessions or in certain circumstances private insurance will also cover the costs of the therapists. For clients living within Suffolk there is an allocated budget from the Suffolk County Council which might also be available.

We have both male and female therapists on hand and all therapists are qualified to deal with a wide range of presenting problems.

Fees for individual therapy are flexible and dependent on on your financial situation, but at all times, even if clients are receiving treatment on an assisted basis, there is an expectation that some contribution, however small, should be made towards the cost of therapy. As with all fees at Focus12, efforts will be made to ensure that clients are not prevented from accessing help.
